You have to witness Jordan talk to understand what he has overcome

On my invitation, Jordan spoke to my students attending dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry in Detroit, Michigan.

Jordan spoke to my class “Developing Communication Skills,” a behavioral science requirement in the dental curriculum.
Because the students were so impressed with Jordan’s presentation, I invited Jordan back the next year.
Jordan is a remarkable young man. He not only survived significant medical problems from birth, but went on to thrive in the worlds of intimate relationships, academic accomplishments, athletics and work.

My students listened when Jordan told them about being profoundly deaf in both ears at birth and growing up with undiagnosed Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. These so called handicaps never stopped Jordan from learning to speak and from mastering many skills when others would have given up. Jordan’s appealing personality, warm and authentic manner, underscored his calm, relentless approach to motivating and educating the students to open their minds to human diversity.

Jordan is one resilient human being. You have to witness Jordan talk to understand what he has overcome, and what joy he gets from life.

Everyone who hears Jordan speak is deeply moved — and never looks at people with “disabilities” – or themselves – in the same way.

He is an inspiration for all ages

Our special program featuring Jordan Levin, along with his parents Marty and Mollene, was an enormous success. Never before have I had so many teens thank me for bringing in a guest speaker. All three Levin’s had such an uplifting and motivational message to share with the world. Jordan’s determination, perseverance, and confidence are so impressive and contagious. He is an inspiration for all ages, and his parents are perfect role models for other parents on a journey to overcome a childs disability. They are relentless indeed!
